Welcome to Citizens Advice Tameside

Our service is free, confidential, independent and impartial. We’re open to everyone in the community. Our staff are trained to give information on virtually any issue.

These include Welfare Benefits, Financial Capability, Consumer, Neighbourhood Disputes, Education, Healthcare, Immigration & Residency Issues (OISC Level1 – advice & assistance only), Human Rights, Family & Personal Issues. We offer specialist services in debt, housing and employment.

We won’t tell you what to do but we will arm you with all the facts and possible outcomes of different options to allow you to make the decision that’s right for you. If needed, we can also offer practical support, such as help with filling in forms, writing letters or negotiating with third parties.

About Us

Coronovirus - COVID19We are working hard to respond to the changing situation regarding Coronovirus - COVID19, and providing advice on both related and non-related issues.

We have been maintaining a reduced level of service following the temporary closure of some of our outreach locations. We have today taken the decision to suspend our daily drop-in service at Tameside One, and all of our outreaches from Thursday 19.03.2020 to help reduce the spread of Coronovirus and help keep our staff, volunteers and clients healthy.

Our volunteers and staff work hard to continue supporting you in the best way we can, whilst reducing risk of spreading infection and supporting colleagues who may be more at risk.

For new clients please access us via our Adviceline on 0300 330 9076, Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm, contact us on our email advice service on: advice@tamesidecab.org.uk or the webchat through https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/ These services can provide the same level of advice as our face to face services so you don’t need to come and see us to get advice.

Ongoing advice work on existing cases will continue, and for existing cases you can continue to contact us on the contact details given you when your case was opened, or via telephone and email as above.

Thank you.
